Fall is slowly trickling into the Bluegrass! Thank goodness because this girl isn’t made for steamy hot weather. I’m like chocolate…I start melting at just about room temperature! haha. Seriously, the humidity here in the Bluegrass the past couple of months has made anything outside very unattractive.
With fall weather, I’m enjoying the outdoors again. I’m doing a cycling adventure to raise money for the American Lung Association this weekend. It will also allow me to mark Shakertown, KY off my bucket list. 🙂 I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures and blog that adventure.
Fall weather also makes me want to knit again. During the summer months I can’t even think of picking up a warm piece of yarn. But my knitting supplies are making their way out of my craft storage a little at a time now. I’m finishing up a scarf that I started last year! how embarrassing is that! I put it down for an entire year!
Fall also brings out the browns, reds, and orange in my jewelry making. I’ve craved leaves and autumn jewelry for the past few weeks. Here’s a few things I’ve created.
I’ve also decided I want to start quilting over the fall/winter months. I’ve decided to retire some of my old sentimental teeshirts and make them into a quilt so I can enjoy them forever without wearing battered teeshirts everywhere. haha. I’m going to start that tonight at girls night. We’ve started our weekly girls nights again and it’s fabulous seeing my girlfriends once a week again. Lots more adventures to come I’m sure.
What projects have you planned for fall and winter?
